"I have seen other stocks where a large stock borrowing exists but no short reporting existed. Why would someone borrow stock and then not be short?"I was wondering why the ASX borrowing vs lending Short Interest didn't match up.
You can see this clearly on the ERA chart but why the hell would anyone do that. I suppose if you were a benevolent owner you could borrow all the shorts available and sit on them but I don't think that is happening as they don't borrow enough to have much of an effect.
