great post coppertop! You've read my mind, this is exactly what goes through my head everytime i start making predictions.
I've held OBJ long enough to extend the timeframe evertime i ever get excited. What i do know is that judging from the announcements we are advanced stages with FMCG-1 and GSK. Basically in terms of commercialisation these are the two companies that i'd expect to announce first. The only problem that we have is how close each one are. FMCG-1 is my guess to commercialise first. This guess of course stems from the fact that they have done consumer testings and have since moved onto the marketing department. There are two possible outcomes from this:
1) Marketing deparment working out the packaging, distributions, marketing campaigns...etc
2) Marketing department is the stage before FDA trials begin which would of course add a few more years onto the timeline
GSK are of course in clinical testings, should it be successful then that should mean that a licensing agreement is in the bag.
Now for the timelines... Well if were to put my inner monologue on here regarding the optimist and the cynical realist then i think we'll be here all day.
But if the FMCG-1 were at option 1 then i'd say we should see the announcement by years end or very early next year. If not then we are a good 1 to 2 years out from GSK commercialising which would be the next best alternative. Of course thats not to say that our SP will be in limbo between now and then. We still have many milestones and deals to sign between now and then...
Now for a final question, management have put a timeline of no longer than 3years to commercialise. Does this mean that they do not believe we will get a commercialisation agreement anytime soon? Or is 3years for the performance rights to expire stock standard?
