Agree it's probably not just LKAB and Mitsui looking for a stake in the anode operation but battery makers and OEMs too. Likewise can't rule out possibility that key players in the finance industry have been building a stake(s) behind nominee companies aiming for a takeover before the Talga share price takes off.
Nerves of steel needed in final round of negotiations and to fend off a hostile takeover.
I'm not expecting the JV details to be announced at the end of the month, more likely some sort of Heads of Agreement with details to follow. Reason being MT doesn't want to give away any more equity than is absolutely necessary. More likely we'll get a finalised JV late in Q1 next year when drilling results and more importantly when first qualification approval could be obtained and take-off deal secured.
