CHK itself may perfer a JV to conserve some cash and manage some risk following intense criticism of the Yellow Rose and Bluebonnet plays.

CHK is at a tangent to the market because as a major upstream and downstream player it has to make secure LT strategic upstreams for both O&G.

I would be very happy to have CHK as a strategic partner so long as timely progress is forthcoming for the SSN acreage. As I've posted previously, there is absolutely no reason why SSN should put most of its' eggs in the niobrara basket.

In my completely uninformed view, CHK (& others) would have their eye on SSN's naturally fractured likely sweet spot given recent results. In return SSN would get a long term field commitment of a rig !!!!
