What a joker the Chairman is. I think he can get away with mum and pop investors being on his register. He states that the year has been the most challenging... yeah right, QBE has had the same conditions and has totally blitzed this mob!
He also states that they have taken a slow and careful approach to acquisitions overseas. Dead right you have. Too many fat cats, Strong (too worried about WOW and Corbett) and Cousins (concerned with the Telstra). Again, too slow.
How do they justify it. Pay out a special dividend to keep the bulk mum and dads at the knees. Release reserves, pump up the profit. (Although profit was down from pcp)
