Well if joolia puts the carbon tax in then we will just have to change the business plan.
We build a new plant in China or Asia with cheap labour and no carbon tax and ship the product to Port Kembla for distribution.
Before the ship leaves we load it up with scrap - got plenty of that from pulling apart the plant.
That will free up space for more scrap metal. We can expect lots of that from all manufacturing businesses that shut down due to the carbon tax.
We will make heaps out of being a scrap metal exporter and steel importer in a country that rewards its manufacturers with a bullet in the head. We also get a pat on the back for zero carbon emissions.
What about the workers? No problem. They get a free tepee a lots of dope from the greens to go live on the reserve and forget about their problems.
