Firstly I had some reservations when I heard that Josh Frydenberg had taken over the energy portfolio and that it included both fossil fuel and renewable energy.
It would seem that the LNP under Malolm Turnbull are not as opposed to a transition to renewable energy as was the case under Tony Abbott.
If the Minister is genuine about the inevitability of transitioning to renewables, it makes sense that he would need to have a say in how policy is developed effecting both the new and old industries.
