journalists should be held accountable

VCR have responded to The Australian article, indicating that that only was the article misleading, it had a number of statements which were completely wrong. In all likelihood it would appear the journalist did little or no research to support his "allegations".

I think its about time that journalists became fully accountable for their tripe. Newspaper editors should also be accountable since they are responsible for what goes into their papers. Sacking should be the penalty!

Of course, no amount of retraction will undo the damage already done - perhaps VCR should sue them? A retraction/apology by The Australian is probably notgoing to happen - admit they are wrong(?) - that's a laugh, The Australian apologizing for a misleading article(?), LOL!!!

Just another example of how the media is cashing in on the current strife and, according to some, contributing to a worsening of the current situation by sensationalizing everything for the sake of sales. Its unconscionable behaviour...
