I would not be calling it simple, keep in mind if this was a wife, sister, mother or grandmother going through this traumatic time and they are trying to decide if they should take part in this trial and complicate there situation even more!
I would agree why management haven't offered more of a carrot for those to take part though, more could/can be been done.
