You say "militant unions" but you fail to give any clear examples and you have not given us any information why you label them as militant. As I mentioned, no unions have not had pay rises above 3% p.a. now since the early Dixon years, I would hardly call that militant. If you want to label wage claims as militant, how would you describe management actions re wages claims? Talk about hypocritical. If you want to mention educating yourself re history, perhaps you should take a look at that yourself. I know the history of QAN, I have worked there for over 25 years and I have sat through a number of EBA's since I joined way back.

No it does not offend me that QAN is at $3.90 because I think we are very lucky to be in this position (given the quality of management and decisions made). By sheer luck, oil prices dropped dramatically in the last year and half and this is one of the major reasons why we managed a profit last year. Any good outcome is a good outcome BUT I will say that with better management QAN would not have have sustained the HISTORIC losses that it did under Joyce and it should have returned better profit/loss results over the years that he has been CEO.

Anyway, you have shown yourself to be one who likes to make sweeping/raving statements about unions but can't back it up with any examples when challenged. Enough said! What annoys me is your lack of understanding of history and what the real story is. Go and educate yourself please.
