So many posts concentrating on Joyce's remuneration and so little understanding of how it is calculated and structured - much of it being performance related.... and it's basically a red herring. Who would want that job?
Hardly any comment on what he said at his press conference. When a CEO says that the union demands are impossible to meet why doesn't anybody listen? He gave a clear message as to why he is acting this way. Argue with that, not his salary.
He is trying to keep Qantas alive.
