Word on the street is JP Morgan have been appointed to advise about a defence to a takeover - they wouldn't do that if they didn't think something was brewing.
Can anyone confirm this pls?
Given that they are on a buyback campaign and the recent t/o rumours and record profits to boot. Maybe it's a case of where there's smoke there's fire?
I hold RIO.
