It is hardly surprising that bankers and Gold bugs are anti crypto with Bitcoin as the leading crypto getting most of their attention.
Crypto has the ability to seriously disrupt the banking model even if the banks create their own blockchains (and they are working on it) . It is just another hand in the process taking a fee.
Goldbugs would see the money going into crypto as lost money which could have been used to push the price of their holdings up. i.e. they see it as a competitor .
