Clearly the JP Morgan article is in relation to the Surat basin. However it is relevant as it affects sentiment around CSG in general.
The questions you ask are very relevant, but i don't have specific answers. Maybe you do? which was the point of starting a discussion.
I am sure holders can learn more from debate.
BOW appears to me to have an advantage through having tenements in the north Bowen Basin, and certainly what I have read would indicate that hydrological studies have shown low risk of impact on aquifiers and the water table, which of course is in contrast to tenements in the Surat which overlays the Great Artesian Basin.
The three main options for dealing with water are;
- reinjection
- evaporation
- Reverse Osmosis.
What is the cost comparison say of reinjection into Coal acquifiers (BOW's case?) and Reverse osmosis or treatment for beneficial use of water like APLNG's Talinga/Spring Gully projects?
