    Beating expectations?

    Considering there are currently record interest rate spreads, no true mark to market and government covered MBS CDO's being payed out at face value, did anyone really think they would miss "Analyst's Consensus"? Have a look at real businesses that are reporting such as Nokia who show what the true shape of the world economy is.
