I would be 99.9% certain that Woodside would not be interested in this. It doesn't fit in to their company strategy at all. They already want to offload projects with domestic gas market exposure in WA, why would they want it in Zimbabwe?

Woodside/BHP Petroleum focus and expertise is on offshore gas/oil and LNG. BHP Petroleum's portfolio was mostly offshore oil in GoM. No integrated power projects anywhere, and domestic gas projects they are trying to exit.

Woodside have also looked at this in a dataroom many years ago and did not go for it as it didn't align with corporate objectives.

We are best suited for a mid-tier E&P company as a partner, or maybe someone as big as ENI who are after exposure to the south african gas/power market where other Euro majors have large stakes already (Shell, TotaEnergies, etc.)

I would throw the mid east giant NOCs like Qatar Energy and ADNOC in to the mix as potential partners. ADNOC already did a large land grab recently in Zimbabwe for carbon credit related projects.
