@jakspara....In addition, if it is confirmed that formation compaction is likely to occur because there are several over-pressured zones, it is not a problem that cannot be resolved. Engineering methods which have successfully lessened the impact of compaction include hydraulic fracturing with proppant, optimising production so that the choke size is not too large (optimal drawdown less than half of the reservoir pressure) and including gas injection wells for pressure support. However, if compaction is allowed to run its course, it will result in the loss of porosity and permeability over time and that means a reduction in flow rate and recovery factor.
