Its actually nothing out of the ordinary and exactly how oil and gas stock trade when the market thinks they are low on cash and need another raise.
Seems more like SM should have being planning for alternate funding, partners and JV's way before the end of MK2 and "hoping" the share price ran to 30-50c so they could raise millions which is probably not a sound business plan.
