I was smacked occasionally as a small child. Rarely, but I know I was. I barely remember.
I also got the odd clip round the ear as a teenager, well deserved in hindsight.
I grew up in a loving household.
It was not a 'voilent' household, and there were never moments of voilence.
To suggest so is offensive.
