It would take a lot of personal and political courage to overturn the officer recommendation even though the refusal reason is very dodgy. Noise and traffic can be easily mitigated the officer seem to say nope we won't give you a chance and might as well refused it. As for the local MP his comment demonstrate his character as a weak swine who try to protect his backside in both cases. I doubt the councils has the political courage to overturn this. Oh well it may not happen uk shale.
