After having read the planner's report and recommendation on the link below (very good reporting on this site I may add) and having a noise meter app on my mobile phone,  I decided to test it to see what 10dB increase will be like, which is guidance exceeding limit basis for the refusal and a estimate of 13 dB increase was proposed by Cuardilla.  It turned out that a whisper of the word 'hello' with the phone about a half a meter away will register a 10-15 dB increase in noise level.  In a door-close quiet office a running lab top computer will register 20dB.  My first immediate thought was you got to be kidding me.  Is this the reason to deny a whole country and its people a chance of a potentially large safe secured source of energy for the next several decades?  Someone in Qatar must be rubbing their hands with a big grin smugly smile on their face.
