While most seem to think this is some complex case, it may be as simple as providing proof of a short paper trail, tracing some cheques and the subsequent use of those funds, together with showing the intent of the parties involved.
Don't forget that CHM was supposed to be wound up and buried in 2005. Some may have depended on that action to earse their activities rather than create the perfect cover up.
