I think there would be a fair bit going on behind scenes here.
Talk of MMX wanting to drag out is rubbish as one of the parties been sued is Crosslands that Mitsubishi have 50% interest and have pumped all the cash into.
MMX board would have been busy trying to explain how Nicu (MMX) got assets and that actions of Grimaldi Barnes and co were not untoward.
Mitsubishi would have been saying (I am speculating) dont care, your problem, make it go away. Easier and faster to settle than protracted battle if you are relying on big brother to keep pumping cash in.
I think there would be a fair bit going on behind scenes...
