yes, some perspective is needed... there was an article in the Courier Mail lately quoting some of the SAS... they said there had been huge numbers of roadside bombs killing all and sundry including of course western troops....they said they " weeded the bomb makers out"...whether that was related to these incidents by BRS I don't know, but they also said many of the Taliban melted back into the community as " farmers "... this is what they were dealing with... also well documented about threats and severe punishments to locals, Taliban often dressed as local tribesmen etc
