Ben may have been part of the reason a number of Afghan soldiers turned their weapons on Australian soldiers, one of the cases involved Ben supposedly instructing an Afghan soldier under his control to shoot an Afghan civilian and another where Ben shot a one-legged Afghan farmer.

That brainwashed, murderous type behavior would have been common knowledge amongst Afghans, knowing the Afghan history blood payback may have been the end result with Australian soldiers paying the price.

The Australian Military inquiry found that there was evidence that Australian elite soldiers may have murdered up to 39 Afghans.

Feel sympathy for Ben Roberts Smith where he was allowed to get to the point where he believed he could do as he wished, shows poor leadership amongst Australian Military hierarchy.
