To quote: "The Government of Senegal established a petroleum code in 1998, which fixes terms for exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in Senegal. This code provides the framework for the PSC under which Cairn and its JV partners carry out operations."

Comment (IMO): Highly unlikely any changes to the code are going to change existing contracts. The PSC covers exploration through to exploitation.

This is a quote regarding the link I posted earlier. "The Government of Senegal announced its decision to join the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), of which Cairn is a member, in 2012. This voluntary initiative is a global standard to ensure transparency of payments from natural resources. Countries implementing the EITI must disclose information on tax payments, licences, contracts, production and other key elements around resource extraction."
