Matey, without wishing, or trying to be unkind, why don't you broaden your pattern of thought. Your attitude to current events as well as your response to them is governed by your strict adherence to a political ideology when what you are, in talking about government deficits etc, is economics. Run back through things, try to trace the sequence of events that have lead us to the present circumstances that have determined that our government needed to go into debt. If you do this diligently (and honestly) you will find yourself at Wall Street. Now Wall Street has bugger all to do with Labor philosophy. Labor ideas are the antithesis of the ideas of the Wall Street bankers. We could reasonably expect that if Labor were hell bent on their "communistic" aims they could easily grab hold of the situation and go hell bent on exploiting the situation to implement their left wing claims. However, despite the claims of many posters, they are not doing that. Instead they are trying to save the system. Why don't you write a letter of thanks to the Prime Minister and thank her for looking after your ideas?
