cgt2009 mate what are you on about! Let the countries ruining it for everyone else decide what action to take! Australia should sit back and wait until the last second to be involved, we as country provide critical fuels for countries to keep there citizens going about their daily business. Should we stop all the mining and let those countries find away to keep their economies going? Maybe building more nuclear reactors! The federal government should sponsor every household and building in Oz to be self sufficient, so our carbon footprint is minimilized.
Why grandstand. This debate is very important but, let's not put the cart ahead of the horse. Julia please respect the fact that you didn't win the last election on the promise of a carbon tax and if you feel that this is the only way forward for us then let the people vote on it. Not doing anything may prove disastrous but jumping the gun may prove to be catastrophic for the everyday australian whom is finding it difficult to live because of the constant increases in utility prices!
