"... I think Rudd's calling the shots. He has put a bullet in Arbib's head for being a traitor and told Gillard and her cronies: ..."
Julia Gillard won emphatic support from her Caucus today but now has the massive challenge of making a connection with the Australian people & explaining all those policies to them. She made a start by acknowledging some of Rudd's achievements as PM. She also has to toast Tony Abbott as ruthlessly as she launched into Rudd this past week.
Now that Kevin Rudd is on the backbench he can no longer be blamed for cabinet leaks etc - journalists & Party scapegoaters will have to find someone else. If Gillard fails to deliver Rudd remains a Plan B.
As for Mark Ahbib, what a relief to see the end of one those 'faction warlords' - or as one commentator used to consider himself, 'kingmakers' [ugghhhhh!].
Still unresolved though are the vitriolic outbursts from Windbag Wayne Swan, Simon Crean, Stephen Conroy, Nicola Roxon & Tony Burke. An apology to the Australian people might be a good start, then in person to Rudd himself!
Gillard also has to reconstitute her Cabinet - time to replace Swan with Penny Wong as Treasurer, Peter Garrett to the backbench & to elevate Stephen Smith to Deputy PM.
