Rudd wasn't all that popular when he was removed, but compared to Gillard he is miles ahead.

All he has to do is rescind the carbon tax, tell the Greens & Indies to go jump (they have nowhere else to go) and he could turn the polls around.

Rudd has an ego bigger than an iceberg, he would truly believe he could lead the ALP to victory.

Abbott remains unpopular with a lot of Australians. But a drovers dog could win the next election at the moment.

I'm sure the ALP will do something before too long I cannot see them going down the tubes on the good ship SS Gillard.
