There is no disgrace in using notes to give a major speech- anyone would be well advised to do so.
The only disgrace is
1. Lying about it
2. Trying to convince of other of the lie, knowing it is a lie.
You would expect a well brought up child to appreciate the importance of this basic honesty. Not the ALP & parts of a compliant media, so it seems.
You could discount this as a trivial thing, other than it is a sign of the ethical laxity we can look forward to.
