Lets put this speech into context it is not even on the front page of the online Washington Post!

However to find any reporting on it you have to search the paper to find a small article outlining the truth:

While Gillard received several standing ovations during her speech, attendance among members of the House and Senate was low for her appearance. To give the impression of a full House, congressional pages and staff filled many of the empty seats.

Basically this tells us that the American politicians believe that Gillard is irrelevant and not worth listening to, Hear Hear!
