Fair enough. I'd probably be more inclined to believe that The Australian would have been careful to have been sure of their facts before publishing such a story than that Mr Abbott was necessarily being truthful. The story also seemed too specific to have been made up and did line up with Mr Abbott's pugilistic approach.
Unfortunately, it has come to the point where few people feel able to have confidence in the Prime Minister.
PS I did vote for Mr Abbott. Or at least to get rid of Labor. Probably not the same thing.
