The coalition supporters here went beyond that. It was only a few nights ago some of them were saying Gillard does not have a family and so she does not understand the problems faced by families.

Applying their argument, the same would apply to Julie Bishop. If the Liberals win the 2013 election, Bishop will be a senior cabinet minister participating in cabinet decisions affecting the lives of Australian families.

You also said:

"Strange that it took something to be said about Julie Bishop to finally gain some sense from one of you."

It is not good enough for one of them to now say the comments about "barren" women is inappropriate. They all should retract all the derogatory remarks made about Gillard's life.
