China's foreign aid program is now the sixth largest in the world. Only the UK, US, Germany, France and Japan provided more last year.
This is according to a
new paper from the JICA Research Institute estimating China's foreign aid program from 2001 to 2013. Their calculations put China's total official development assistance (ODA) at US$7.1 billion in 2013.
India and Indonesia are both countries worse off in economic standing than Australia.
And is it really about who does more?
Are you really going to stand there and go "no, those African children can die because I shouldn't give more because an Indonesian person gives less than I do."
You're on an investment forum, chances are you're much better off than 90% of the country, let alone the rest of the world. So don't act like $220 a year is going to ruin you.
