You have it right we should be only helping our neighbors who are our closest family

It is easy to say that Australia is so fabulously rich and we all earn in excess of $220 per day etc but if you divide the world into the north and south hemisphere there is lot more wealth in the northern half rather than the southern half so let the northern half look after itself

Then if we are going to give aid lets make sure that it is spent wisely, in other words value for money.

It is a bit like that fable of the hard worker saving for the winter and the other spending it all just banking on the generosity of others to came and save him
Why would you give aid to a country which wastes all it's money
