Great distraction from everything else. If they knew what they claim to know how come it happened in the first place? the Americans have a history of bragging, exaggerating, creatng scape oats for anything they do not understand and a staggering list of intelligence failures and bungles.
The intelligence operatives they now have are desk bound bloated political appointees. They destroyed their capabilities when the Soviet Union came crashing down. The unfortunate belief that there was no longer a need for the type of organization they had previously and the forced retirements and re classifications of objectives and personnel makes the cuontry vulnerable.
Al Queida is a name invented by the Yanks to put a face to an enemy they cannot seee, know little of and are scared of for their own failures. This bogey is not too much unlike the communists did it bogey they created for decades.
4th of July is a conveneit day to make people wary and to keep the legitimacy of their campaign going. Al Queida? then arrest Musharaff who was their controller for so long under the ISI. What element of suprise would there be if the enemy was expecting you to attack?
These fanatics are like the people who rained them. The US with a little help from Israel and lots from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Britain and other idiots who believed they would go away after the Soviets were expelled from Afghanistan.
