My research indicates that coal production of 60 million tpa is required to underpin the cost of the railway line through the Kalahari to the Namibian deep water port of Walvis Bay.

Large resources with easy to mine coal will be attractive - at this stage it seem that the Indian coal players are targeting deposits in Botswana.

Sese is a long term term play with access issues but so is Riversdale. AFR could support a 20million tpa mine - this attracts Tier 1 players.
