From 2002 to 2007 it was difficult not to make money in the Australian stock market. From 2008 to now it has been the exact opposite as the Australian stock market has been the poorest performer in the developed world. In the current market you can go away on holiday for a couple of weeks and easily find yourself 50% poorer on your return.
Actually, I reckon you have a better chance of making a quid at a casino.
