ADH had a few headwinds presently, apart from Covid shutdowns.
Firstly the falling AUD will increase the price of all imports (damn near 100% of what ADH sells), but not as much as the cost of shipping containers.
Its something, because of a personal direct interest in a small manufacturing company, I have been watching closely.
A $1,500 container a year ago is now been priced at $8,000 with prices rising, a virtual Dutch Auction to buy them and an international shipping industry wanting to take ships off the Aussie/NZ run in favour of the more profitable US and Europe runs.
This has got to be keeping Mark Ronan awake at nights. Price rises are inevitable.
I actually topped up recently at $4.13 but am somewhat hesitant now because of the likely margin erosion.
The SUL ann today is a continuation on the great FY21 story in retail. FY22, hmmm.
