Legitimate companies with great products tend to find funding fairly easily. If you can't get a buyer, a bank loan or a VC funder it is probably because your products is s***.
An ASX listing is often the funding option of last resort. Directors have often exhausted every other funding opportunity or refuse to risk their own money. In many cases listings are little more than get rich quick schemes for insiders.
Most other exchanges demand a history of earnings to significantly de-risk the investment.
