@RedCedar have finished watching 'The Leopard - il Gattopardo' tonight. It was sooo beautiful - probably all a fairytale, but nice to be involved in make--belief of more gracious times. Of course, they weren't easy times for the ordinary person, which also comes out in the movie, which also shows very subservient peasants, and the ease of life by the aristocracy made possible by the unceasing labour of their 'servants'. Of course, as we watch it, we subsume the most likeable roles, which means we are 'never the servants' but the Masters or Mistresses. Fairytale land, but beautifully done. Thankyou! Tau ❤️
