re: junior oilers..... thanx again jbc ..... ganns Hi folks,

Many thanks to JBC for your weekly update on the
junior oilers ..... well done, as always.

There's still some interesting plays around, especially
with the pullback in prices for the Cliff Head partners,
    between wells.

ROC will look cheap at these prices, if Twin Lions comes
    in as a producer.

On NWE, there's a significant anniversary coming up
on later this month ..... also, the hype will also see the
NWE price trying to bridge a HUGE gap that formed in
2001 ..... last Friday was the last of 5 attempts that
have failed in the past 2 years to breach 12.5 cents.

Maybe some good news from Twin Lions will see NWE
    breakout from that significant resistance.

However any rise in price may well be tempered by the
realization that NWE will have to go back to the
market for more money to either pay for the field
developments in Cliff Head and Twin Lions ..... or
even to fund their next exploration well.

..... don't get caught holding the NWE, if it's bad news
    at Twin Lions-1.

Also some analysis on MPO ..... for Gannsters .....

    --------

Just to add a little, about the effect of crude prices
on local producers ..... in many respects, our local
producers are shielded from the volatility in the
international crude price, since they sell to local
refiners in a relatively stable pricing environment.

Among the Cliff Head partners for example, it will only
be ROC that is significantly affected by the moves of
international crude prices, as it is a producer in the UK.

Likewise WPL, BHP and other Aussie companies with
overseas production are usually the most affected by
fluctuations in the international crude price.

That's not to say that the fluctuations in the
international crude price have no effect on local
producers ..... but simply, local producers have a
buffer against the price shocks from overseas crude,
since they are clearly not supplying overseas markets.

    hot charts
