Thor, I noted that you were interested in TBT and TMV earlier. TMV is a bit low on volume for my liking, but I am interested to know your latest thoughts on TBT.
I noted the following comment from here.
"Even before the volatility jump in TLT and corresponding bump in options prices, some traders had been preparing for higher rates in bold fashion. Since the start of the third quarter, the ProShares UltraShort 20+ Year Treasury (
TBT) and the Direxion Daily 20-Year Treasury Bear 3X Shares (
TMV) have added $463.2 million and $124.7 million, respectively. Despite
declining Treasury yields, TBT and TMV have seen inflows of $1.26 billion and $279 million this year."
I am looking for several parallel plays to the volatility ETFs in case these don't work out at planned. The TBT volume is ok, and I have 10% margin with TBT, hence, perhaps I will include TBT in my treasure chest.
