News for Today (AEST)
The XJO closed higher on Thursday, where spread narrowed, but volume increased a little (expiry affected).
It appears the momentum generated on Wednesday carried price higher again.
I feel the volume on Thursday was probably a bit below average after the effect of Index expiry is removed, if so, this would go some way to account for the reduced spread. Price is again nearing the highs of the trading range, which has held firm for some time. I expect for price to break through this level, it will take an extra effort (in volume) to do so.
