This things mesothermal. There’s no feeder zone like in an epithermal deposit. The gold’s contained in the volcanic pile and transported as a chloride complex to zones of low pressure like fold hinges or shears. So the controls are chemical, pressure and temperature. Ya gots to be at the right location in the system. There’s been something like 2km of rock eroded off the top of this thing. Some fluid inclusion work may assist in identifying the fertile horizon. Or it may not. And I’m still not a geo!
