So silly for SP to go from 12c with mining approval, to 8.5c... market cap of less than $50M with a $US600 mill profit project. Been racking my brain to reconcile, and apart from traders' profit taking, can see one plausible rationale:
Perhaps big and/or small money anticipated a dreaded capital raise. Why not? Mining approval, less than $2m in the bank, gonna happen. Not convinced. JD seems fairly confident about the next step.. "We will now move to advance project development and funding without delay."
My theory? Too many punters have sold on anticipation of a capital raise with mining approval. Why not sell down and buy back cheaper with an imminent CR?
So let's see. Will the next update refer to a capital raise and/or be associated with an NFC funding agreement? We've got 5 months leeway based on current cash available and monthly spending.
How keen is NFC to do the deal? Only time will tell and hope the shorters get caught with their pants down.
Merry Christmas all and best wishes for the New Year
