Good points. I forgot to add in my earlier reply to kahuna that a good point made was that WPL may be a bit put out by Sterling getting in on the act. Then again WPL may not have wanted to fund the government's involvment.

Anyway it is worth keeping in mind that what BG got when it bought in was not just a share of the action but also access to the JV's information and data which would be invaluable for determining whether a bigger involvement by way of a takeover was warranted! Perhaps Sterling is also sniffing around - but my understanding is that they aren't very big and would not be able to takeover anybody - other than perhaps ROC.
