Your Sky find is very telling. Rarely are pundits, gurus, brokers ever reminded of their losing/flat picks. I wouldn't characterize his silence as "silly." Rather, I think he arrogantly sauntered in, talked his book, was taken by surprise, lied, and reminded of his a past reccie,. Knowing Mq's short book, his hubris was on show for all to see.
Granted this post is more about brokers than BDR, however, it does highlight that one has to know what one owns, eg. is the broker short? will the house's strategy turn to covering then going long at cheaper? Also of note, as a shorter he didn't bash BDR, thereby implying the company is solid.
