I don't get the term "threat of a takeover" that I hear popping up on Hotcopper all the time.

Is it not the company's choice as to whether or not they are taken over?

AKK has given me no indication at all that they would ever consider being taken over or even take part in a JV which is one of the reasons why I bought.

Sure there's a lot of stock on issue now, but the market cap is where the rubber hits the road. A loan would have been better IMO but this is the second best thing. Just think, the vast majority of that oil they'll be drilling for will be ALL AKK's!
